Models Own - Aqua Violet from the Beetlejuice collection. Review & swatches.

I've shown you the entire Models Own Beetlejuice collection when it first arrived. I did some quick swatches, but being duochromes they all deserve more than one picture each. So here is the first of the 5 reviews of this collection.

Ik heb je eerder al de gehele Models own Beetlejuice collectie laten zien toen ik het net binnen had. Ik heb toen wat snelle swatches laten zien, maar aangezien het duochromes zijn verdienen ze allemaal meer dan één foto. Dus hierbij krijg je de eerste review van deze 5 lakjes uit de collectie

Color
Blue with purple duochrome. Sometimes the blue looks more greenish turquoise.
The duochrome effect is very visible on the nail.
This is a very nice color and a great addition to my stash.

Kleur
Blauw met paars duochrome. Soms lijkt het blauw meer groene turkooise.
Het duochrome effect is zeer zichtbaar tijdens het dragen van de lak.
Dit is een mooi lakje en een geweldige aanvulling op mijn collectie.

Application
Sheer on the firts coat, looks good with two, but it's perfect on the third coat.
It needed topcoat to be nice and glossy.
You have to be precise while applying this one because there can be some visible brushstrokes.

Applicatie
Vrij dun met het eerste laagje, ziet er al prima uit met twee, maar perfect met drie laagjes.
Je heb wel echt topcoat nodig voor een mooi glanzend resultaat.
Als je tijdens het opdoen goed oplet en netjes werkt heb je geen last van zichtbare strepen van je kwastje.

In the bottle this one doesn't look very special, you have to wear it to really appreciate this polish.
If you love duochromes, you will love this one

In het flesje ziet deze lak er niet heel speciaal uit, je moet deze lak echt dragen om te zien hoe mooi het is.
Als je van duochromes houdt dan ga je deze echt leuk vinden

The one and only: Deborah Lippmann - Across the Universe

This polish was such a huge lemming of mine. Because the brand isn't available in Europe and webstores aren't allowed to ship this brand to Europe, I thought I would never own this and was stuck to watch pictures of it and drool over those...but then my friends bought it for me in NY and now Accross The universe is mine ALL MINE!!!

Deze lak stond zo hoog op mijn verlanglijstje. Omdat het merk niet te krijgen is in Europa en webwinkels geen toestemming hebben om dit merk naar Europa te verzenden dacht ik dat ik voor eeuwig alleen maar naar foto's van deze prachtige lak kon kijken...maar toen gingen mijn vrienden naar New York en nu is Across the Universe van mij HELEMAAL VAN MIJ!!!

Color
Dark blue jelly polish with small blue glitter and large blue and green glitters.
You can see the glitters through every layer of polish what gives it alot of depth.
Very pretty and I think the name is very well chosen.

Kleur
Donkerblauwe jelly met kleine blauwe glittertjes en grote blauwe en groene glitters.
Je kan door iedere laag van de lak de glitters heen zien, dat geeft een boel diepte aan de lak.
Erg mooi en ik denk dat de naam goed is uitgezocht.

Application
It's a jelly so you already know you need more than one coat to get a good result. This is three thick coats. What surprised me is that the large glitters don't need a extra push to get them into the right place. Often large glitters tend to clump together on the tip of your nail ór you don't have one glitter at all. With this polish you have the different glitters all over your nail!

Applicatie
Het is een jelly dus dan weet je al dat het niet in één laag dekt. Dit zijn drie dikke lagen. Wat me verbaasde is dat je de grote glitters geen extra duwtje hoeft te geven om ze op de goede plaats te zetten. Meestal heb je een groepje grote glitters bij elkaar opgepropt op het puntje van je nagel óf helemaal niet één. Maar met dit lakje heb je alle verschillende glitters prachtig verdeeld over je hele nagel!

I really like this polish, already wore it twice and often when I open my drawer I pick it up and turn it a few times round to see it move in the bottle. It's like a dark, mystical snowglobe if you see al those glitters move. So even when I'm not wearing it, I still enjoy this polish very much!

Ik vind het echt een mooie lak, ik heb 'm al twee keer gedragen en als ik in die la moet zijn dan haal ik 'm er vaak uit en draai 'm een paar keer rond om de lak te zien bewegen in het flesje. Het is een soort duistere, magische sneeuwbol als je al die glitters ziet bewegen. Dus zelfs als ik de lak niet draag, geniet ik er nog van!

SpaRitual - Chill. Because I'm chilling this weekend!

Hi lovelies, hope you are enjoying your Saturday! I spent this morning swatching for a challenge, perfect relaxing way to start the weekend with. In the afternoon I was babysitting my cute 'nephew' Roan ( 1 year old son of best friends ) and now I'm relaxing at home, drinking some wine and I have a sleeping cat on every side. Perfect moment to post this nailpolish that is called "Chill".

Hoi lieveschatten, ik hoop dat jullie genieten van je zaterdag. Deze ochtend heb ik wat geswatched voor een challenge, perfecte manier om je weekend mee te beginnen toch. In de middag heb ik op mijn lieve 'neefje' Roan gepast ( 1 jarig zoontje van beste vrienden ) en nu zit ik lekker te relaxen op de bank, glaasje wijn erbij en aan iedere kant ligt er een slapende kat tegen me aan. Perfect moment om een nagellak te laten zien met de naam "Chill".

Color
Blurple? Blueish lavender? It looks so soft and relaxing, I understand why they named it Chill.
I really didn't know in wich drawer I had to put this polish, with the purples or with the blues? It's now in the drawer with the blue polishes, but it's an oddball in there. Next to the blue polishes it looks purple and next to a purple polish it looks very blue. But who cares how it looks in my Helmer? As long as it looks good on your nails, and it does look great!

Kleur
Blauwpaars? Blauwachtige lavendel? Het ziet er zo zacht en rustgevend uit, ik snap helemaal waarom ze 'm Chill hebben genoemd.
Ik heb geen idee in welke lade ik deze lak moet zetten, bij de paarse of bij de blauwe lakken? Het staat nu in de lade met blauwe lakjes maar is echt een vreemde eend in de bijt daar. Naast de blauwe lakken ziet ie er echt paars uit, maar naast de paarse lakjes vond ik 'm weer echt blauw lijken.
Maar goed, het maakt geen zak uit hoe het eruit zien in mn Helmer. Zolang het maar mooi staat op je nagels en het staat super!

Application
This is a mini-bottle with a mini brush, so it's a bit more work to make it streekless. You have to be precise and still work fast. But despite that mini brush I got a perfect result in two coats. Almost regret not buying a fullsize bottle because I'm sure I will wear this more than once.

Applicatie
Dit is een mini-flesje met een mini borsteltje, dus het is wast extra werk om het helemaal streeploos te krijgen. Je moet erg precies zijn en toch snel werken. Ondanks het mini-flesje zag het al al mooi uit in twee laagjes. Ik heb er bijna spijt van dat ik niet het grote flesje gekocht heb, het ziet er naar uit dat ik deze vaker ga dragen.

As you can see I tried some stamping on the ringfinger in an attempt to make this mani even more special. It certainly would have looked nice if I hadn't been so overly careful while stamping. I didn't press hard enough because I was afraid to damage the freshly painted nail, the result was that not the entire design was placed on the nail.
Note to self: Dear Inge, let polish dry longer before stamping so I can use enough pressure on the stamp.

Zoals je ziet heb ik geprobeerd een leuk patroontje op de ringvinger te stempelen om deze mani wat feestelijker te maken. Het had er erg mooi uitgezien als ik niet zo overdreven voorzichtig was geweest met het stempelen. Ik heb niet hard genoeg gedrukt op de stempel om de verse lak niet te beschadigen waardoor niet het volledige patroon op mijn nagel is gekomen.
Tip voor mezelf: Beste Inge, laat je lak langer drogen zodat je fatsoenlijk op je stempel kan drukken.

One of my favorite mani's this year with the gorgeous Sally Hansen - DVD (pic-spam alert!)

Are you ready to see something amazing? I bet you are! Today I'll show you the stunning glittery duochrome of Sally Hansen's DVD. I never knew how ridiculously petty this polish was untill my friends Marjan and Roos bought it for me. I have alot of pictures for you so excuse me if this post loads a bit slow.

Ben je klaar om iets fantastisch te zien? Vast wel! Vandaag laat ik jullie de briljante glimmende duochrome van Sally Hansens DVD zien. Ik wist niet hoe gigantisch mooi deze lak was totdat mijn vriendinnen Marjan en Roos deze voor mij kochten. Ik heb een boel foto's voor je, dus alvast mijn excuses als deze post langzaam laadt.

On this picture you can see the duochrome effect very well!

Color
Purple base filled with sparkly duochrome light blue glassfleck ( or is it an uneven shaped glitter, I really don't knuw the difference )
A picture can't capture how amazing this looks in real life, because when you move your hand the color changes from purple to blue ánd it sparkles like crazy. There is so much happening on your nails, without making it look hysterical. Perfection.

Kleur
Paarse basis propvol glitterende blauwe glassfleck (of zijn het onregelmatig gevormde glittertjes, ik weet het verschil niet zo goed )
Een foto kan niet vastleggen hoe geweldig dit er in het echt uitziet, want als je je hand beweegt zie je de kleur veranderen van paars naar blauw én dan glittert het ook nog vreselijk. Er is dan zo veel actie op je nagels, zonder dat het er hysterisch uitziet. Perfectie.

Application
DVD is really sheer, so I didn't even try to get it opaque, I layered it over a cremepolish that matched the purple basecolor. DVD applies perfectly, you get a very even dispersion of the glassfleck. I did three coats here, ofcourse I could have done less than 3, but I noticed how much sparklier it got with every coat and I like my nails to shine :-)

Applicatie
DVD is erg transparant, dus ik heb niet eens geprobeerd om zo veel lagen op te doen dat het dekkend werd en heb het gelijk over een bijpassende cremelak gedaan. DVD lak brengt erg fijn aan, de glimmertjes verspreiden heel gelijk over de nagel. Ik heb hier 3 lagen DVD op over die basiskleur. Er waren niet zo veel lagen DVD nodig, maar ik zag hoe extra glimmend het werd met iedere laag en ik hou ervan als mijn nagels stralen :-)

This polish is made in direct sunlight, see how bright that blue is?

And because I wanted to show you the duochrome I have a few pictures for you to show you how this polish changes with the slightest movement of your hand:

En omdat ik je wilde laten zien hoe gaaf deze duochrome is, heb ik hier een aantal foto's voor je om te laten zien hoe mooi de kleur verandert als je je vingers een beetje heen en weer beweegt:



Just looking at these pictures makes me want to clean my freshly polished nails and wear DVD again and again. I love it!!!!!

Als ik alleen al kijk naar deze foto's wil ik mijn vers gelakte nageltjes schoonmaken en DVD keer op keer weer dragen. Ik ben verliefd!!!!!

OPI - What's With The Cattitude?

I wanted this polish not only for the lovely bright lightblue color, but also for it's name, I like the word Cattitude :-)  As a 'catlady' I needed this polish badly. So Rebecca bought it for me and sent it in our swap. I wore it twice since, yes TWICE ( that's alot with over 40 untrieds in the top drawer of my Helmer )

Ik wilde deze lak zo graag hebben, niet alleen om de helder lichtblauwe kleur, maar ook echt om de naam. Cattitude is echt één van de beste combinatie van woorden ooit :-) Als een 'kattenvrouwtje' had ik deze lak gewoon nodig. Dus Rebecca heeft deze lak voor me gekocht en in onze swap naar me toegestuurd. Sindsdien heb ik deze lak al twee keer gedragen, ja TWEE keer ( dat is echt vaak als je je beseft dat ik nog minimaal 40 ongebruikte lakjes in de bovenste lade van mijn Helmer heb staan )

Color
Light blue, not to pale though, it's bright enough to have a bit of an edge to it. Especially if you have a bit of a tan this polish is a real eyecatcher

Kleur
Lichtblauw, niet te licht gelukkig, het is fel genoeg om toch een beetje spannend te zijn. Vooral als je een beetje een tintje hebt valt deze lak echt op.

Application.
I expected this one to be more opaque, the first coat was really sheer. I always use thinner coats, so it needed three coats for the perfect coverage. If you apply your polish a bit thicker you probably have the same result with two coats. I love how it smooths out so perfectly after application, no streeks and it's extremely glossy!

Applicatie
Ik verwachtte dat deze lak meer dekkend zou zijn, de eerste laag was redelijk doorzichtig. Ik gebruik altijd dunnere laagjes, dus ik had wel 3 lagen nodig voor een perfect dekkend resultaat. Als je iemand bent die dikkere lagen lak gebruikt zal je genoeg hebben aan twee lagen. Ik was echt onder de indruk van hoe de lak direct na opbrengen prachtig glad rechttrekt, geen streep te zien en wat is het extreem glimmend!

On the picture above you can really see how smooth and glossy this polish is ( this is before topcoat! ).
This polish is not something really special, the color and finish are not something we haven't seen before, but this polish still a winner in my book!

Op de foto hierboven kan je echt goed zien hoe mooi glad en glimmend deze lak is ( deze foto is gemaakt voordat ik topcoat opdeed! ).
Deze lak is eigenlijk niet heel speciaal, de kleur en de creme finish zijn niet iets wat we nog nooit gezien hebben, ondanks dat vind ik het toch echt een top lakje!

SpaRitual - It's Raining Men ( if the men are as gorgeous as this polish...then let it pour!!!! )

This is the first SpaRitual nailpolish I ever tried. SpaRitual products are made out of vegan and organic material, it's not tested on animals, the packaging is made of eco-friendly products and the polishes are 'big three free'.
Maybe if you read that you would think these vegan, eco-friendly polishes look boring, but SpaRitual makes some exciting polishes in a wide range of colors and finishes. So you can look good while taking care of our planet!

Dit is de eerste SpaRitual die ik ooit geprobeerd heb. SpaRitual producten zijn gemaakt van veganistische en organische producten, het is niet getest op dieren, de verpakkingsmaterialen zijn natuurvriendelijk en de lakken zijn 'big three free' ( klik link voor NL uitleg ).
Misschien als je bovenstaande gelezen hebt denk je dat deze veganistische, natuurvriendelijke lakken er saai uit zullen zien, maar SpaRitual maakt spannende kleurtjes in een heleboel verschillende finishes. Dus je kan er goed uitzien terwijl je toch goed zorgt voor het milieu!

Color
Wow, It's Raining Men is a gorgeous silvery light blue polish with a golden/pink duochrome. Sometimes it flashes gold, but mostly pink. Words can't accurately descibe this fascinating color. And pictures don't do it justice, but believe me, this is a stunner.

Kleur
Wauw, It's Raining Men is een prachtige zilverachtige licht blauwe lak met een goud/roze duochrome. Soms zie je ook een mooie gouden glans, maar meestal is de glans roze. Er zijn echt geen woorden om deze kleur goed te beschrijven. En de foto's doen deze lak ook al geen recht, maar geloof me, dit is echt een top lakje.

Application
The polish is a bit sheer, but builds up nicely. I did three rather thick coats and had a little VNL showing, but not much. This polish dries quickly. The brush was perfect for me, it allowed me to paint on the nail and not on my cuticles. Another plus for SpaRitual.

Applicatie
De lak is een beetje dun, maar dekt prima met meerdere laagjes. Ik heb 3 vrij dikke lagen gebruikt en er was nog een beetje nagel doorheen te zien, maar niet zo erg. De 3 laagjes droogden vrij snel. Het borsteltje werkte voor mij ook erg fijn, ik kon mn nagels keurig lakken en verfde niet gelijk alle nagelriemen mee. Nog een plus voor SpaRitual

If you see some tiny bubbles in this mani, that's entirely my own fault! I was so excited to try this polish that I layered each of the 3 coats directly over the other. If I had been a bit more patient and waited a minute in between coats there wouldn't have been a single bubble. Ahwell, IRL it was nearly visible, only the macroshot shows it.

Als je een paar hele kleine bubbeltjes ziet in deze mani dan is dat volledig mijn eigen schuld! Ik verheugde me echt op het dragen van deze lak en heb alle 3 lagen lak direct na elkaar erop gegooid. Als ik een klein beetje meer geduld had en een paar minuutjes had gewacht tussen de laagjes door dan was dit een hele strakke mani geweest. Ach ja, in het echt zag je het vrijwel niet, alleen die macroshot laat het zien.

While writing this post I decided to layer 2 coats of this polish over my light blue What's With The Cattitude mani that I'm wearing since Tuesday and it looks spectacular!
I also think this polish looks nice with jeans, don't ask me why, but it does!
My first experience with SpaRitual is great! Can't wait to try my other 3 SpaRituals that I bought at Apothica!

Terwijl ik deze post schrijf besloot ik 2 laagjes van deze lak over mijn huidige licht blauwe What's With The Cattitude mani heen te doen die ik al sinds dinsdag draag. En wat denk je, het ziet er spectaculair uit!
En ik vind deze lak ook zo goed bij jeans passen, vraag me niet waarom, maar het staat gewoon goed bij elkaar!
Mijn eerste ervaring met SpaRitual is echt super! Ik kan niet wachten om de andere 3 SpaRitual lakjes te proberen die ik bij Apothica gekocht heb!

Catrice - Blue Cara Ciao

It should be summer right now, but instead has been raining, grey and cloudy for weeks. So I decided to swatch a 'regular' polish that doesn't need alot of sun to show up well on pictures. Can't wait for the sun to return because I have alot of polishes that I need to swatch who benefit from sunlight.

Het zou nu zomer moeten zijn, maar in plaats daarvan hebbenw e al weken lang regen, grijze lucht en dikke wolken. Dus ik besloot een normaal lakje te swatchen die niet zo veel licht nodig heeft om goed op de foto over te komen. Maar ik kan echt niet wachten tot de zon weer gaat schijnen, want ik heb een boel lakjes die ik wil swatchen die het beste tot hun recht komen in zonlicht.

Color
Blue creme, not too light, not too dark. Very glossy.
I don't think this color is something special, but it's great for a base for some stamping or other nail-decorations.

Kleur
Blauwe creme, niet heel licht, niet heel donker. Heel erg glanzend.
Dit is geen bijzonder kleurtje ofzo, maar het is een prima basis voor stempelen of andere nagelversieringen.

Application
The best thing about this polish is the application. It's a smooth, very easy to apply polish that's perfect in one coat. Yes, one coat is all you need.

Applicatie
Het allerbeste van deze lak is de applicatie. Het is een heerlijke lak, brengt makkelijk aan, het droogt glad en glanzend op en het is perfect in één laag. Jaja één laagje.

I'm aware of the messy cuticles, I swatched some polishes earlier, they suffered badly from it and absorbed some color despite the generous amounts of Lemony Flutter cuticlecram. Swatching is hard on my hands. Ah well, I don't think anyone will loose sleep over it, I won't  :-)

Ik ben inderdaad op de hoogte dat mn nagelriemen er niet al te smakelijk uitzien, ze waren ondanks de ruime lagen Lemony Flutter nagelriem crème droog en gescheurd door dat ik wat vaker geswatched had die dag. Swatchen is echt de pest voor mn handen. Achja, ik denk niet dat je er minder om slaapt vannacht, ik niet in ieder geval :-)

smART nails for my Roller Derby-partymani

Earlier this week I showed you China Glaze Flyin' High. I needed to spice that mani up for the one year anniversary party of the Dutch roller derby team Dom City Dolls that my sisters-in-law are members of. If you've seen or heared something about roller derby, you know I needed a  fun tough-girl mani for that party. So I decided to use the smArt Nails to add some rock&roll to my nails.

Eerder deze week liet ik jullie China Glaze Flyin' High zien. Ik wilde deze mani wat pittiger maken voor het éénjarige jubileum feest van Nederlandse roller derby team de Dom City Dolls waar mijn schoonzussen lid van zijn. Als je ooit iets gezien of gehoord hebt over roller derby dan weet je dat ik een leuke stoere mani moest hebben voor dat feest. Dus ik besloot de smArt Nails eindelijk te gebruiken om wat rock&roll toe te voegen aan mijn nagels.

smART nails with skulls

smART nails are very easy to use, you just need to be precise, that's all.
You peel off one of the sticky templates, make it less sticky by sticking it once on the palm of your hand, then you place it on your nail, add a little bit of polish on the image, peel the sticker off and you are done!

smART nails zijn echt heel makkelijk te gebruiken, je moet alleen wel precies zijn, dat is alles.
Je haalt één van de stickers los van het velletje, je maakt het wat minder plakkerig door het een keer op de palm van je hand te plakken, daarna kan je het op je nagel plakken, je doet wat lak over het vormpje, je haalt gelijk voorzichtig de sticker los en dan ben je al klaar!

If you put the stickers after use on a dish you can wipe them clean with some remover and re-use them, they still work perfectly on your other hand!

Als je de stickertjes na gebruik op een schoteltje plakt en even schoonveegt met wat remover dan kan je ze daarna weer gebruiken op je andere hand, werkt dan echt nog perfect!

I have a thing for skulls, don't ask me why, but I find myself drawn to things that are decorated with skulls.
So obviously I loved these cute little dead fellas on my nails. I didn't want to remove this mani after the weekend so I even wore this to work.

Ik heb iets met schedels, vraag me niet waarom, maar ik ben altijd vreselijk aangetrokken tot dingen die versierd zijn met schedels. Natuurlijk was ik dus ook verliefd op die kleine dode ventjes op mn nagels en ik kon het niet over mn hart verkrijgen om ze na het weekend van mn nagels te halen, dus heb ik deze mani ook naar mn werk gedragen.

Oh and for those of you that don't know what roller derby is: two teams of women on rollerskates riding on an oval track, the goal is to let your player pass through the group, but the blockers of the other team try to prevent that, wich can get very rough! The girls often wear fishnet stockings, hotpants, tight singlets and alot of them have crazy awesome tattoos or other colorful decorations. During a game they play (hard)rock music, I LIKE *puts thumb up*

Oh en voor degenen die niet weten wat roller derby is: twee teams met vrouwen op rolschaatsen rijden op een ovale baan, het doel is om je speler als eerste door de groep te laten breken, maar de blockers proberen dat tegen te houden, soms gaat het er hard aan toe! De meiden dragen vaak visnet panty's, hotpants, strakke hemdjes en veel van hen hebben waanzinnige tattoos of andere kleurige versieringen. Tijdens de wedstrijd wordt er een boel (hard)rock gedraaid, VIND IK LEUK *doet duimpje omhoog*

Dutchies: Van wat ik heb begrepen is dit een snel opkomende sport in Nederland en er zijn al een aantal Nederlandse teams die onderling ook erg veel leuk contact met elkaar hebben. Maar de sport is hier lang zo groot nog niet als in andere landen. Dus als je een vrouw met ballen bent die opzoek is naar een sport die net wat anders dan anders is, kijk dan even op internet voor een Derbyteam bij jou in de buurt!!!

Op zaterdag 9 juli heb ik mijn PABOdiploma gehaald, mijn lange nagels behouden én bij mijn feestje 2 nagellakken van PolishSis gekregen!
Vandaag dus de tijd genomen mijn groene nagellak te verwijderen (zonder groene nagels over te houden) en mijn nagels nieuw te lakken.

On Saturday the 9th of July I earned my teaching-diploma, I kept my nails long and got 2 polishes from PolishSis!
Today I took the time to remove the green polish I wore ( without having green stained nails ) and used one of the new polishes.

Ik verwachtte dat de kleur die in het potje te zien was, zo op mijn nagels zou komen.
Het is een dunne, lichtblauwe lak. De glitters zijn heel klein, waardoor de lak vooral dromerig blauw is. Een laag brengt dus slecht wat blauwige verkleuring op je nagels aan. Na twee lagen was mijn nagel nog goed te zien, dus ik heb het geduld op kunnen brengen een derde laag aan te brengen.

I expected the color to look the same on my nails as it looks in the bottle.

It's a thin light blue polish. The glitter is very small and looks dreamy. One coat only gives your nails a slight blue coloration. After two coats my nail was still showing through so I tried my patience and added a third coat.

Ik denk dat deze lak ook goed over een andere kleur heen kan (zwart, wit of een andere blauw?) waardoor hij wat feller kan worden en de glitters ook wat meer zichtbaar.

In my opinion this polish goes well layered over other colors ( black, white or another blue? ) wich makes it more bright and allowes the glitters to show up better.

 En toen kwam de kunst van het goed op de foto zetten. Respect voor Inge, voor haar close-ups, mooi weggewerkte lakresten en ultieme glitters! Na verschillende pogingen met en zonder flits, voor het raam, op de bank, onder de lamp en met alle lampen aan zijn er toch wat leuke foto’s uitgekomen.

And then came the art of making some good pictures of it. I applaud Inge for her close-ups, nice cleanup and ultimate glitter! After several attempts with flash, without flash, in front of the window, on the couch, under the lamp and with all lights on I finally managed to get some nice pictures.

Nu ben ik ook erg benieuwd hoe de groene lak is die ik gekregen heb .. wellicht komt er over een paar weken weer een gastblog ;)

And now I'm very curious about the green polish I got...maybe there will be a next Guestblog in a few weeks ;)

Dit is de tweede studie die Maria heeft afgerond, hiervoor heeft ze gebarentaal gestudeerd, ze geeft nu les op een school voor dove en slechthorende kinderen.

Geweldige eerste poging Maria! Ik ben erg blij dat je de lakjes die ik heb uitgezocht leuk vindt. Ik ga deze lak ook maar eens een keer proberen!
Ik wens je heel veel success in je carriere als juffrouw. Ik weet zeker dat 'de kinderen' erg blij zijn met hun Juf Maria! XXX

China Glaze - Flyin' High

This is such a great polish for summer, it reminds me of the color of the sea at a tropical island. So ofcourse I wore it on a nice sunny day.

Dit is echt een tegekke kleur voor de zomer, het doet me denken aan de zee bij een tropisch eiland. Dus natuurlijk droeg ik deze lak op een zonnige zomerdag.

Color
I can't decide if it's a blue or a turquoise, but I think it's looking more like a turquoise. Very pretty and bright. This is one of those colors that make me smile, eventhough it's not that special.

Kleur
Ik kan niet kiezen of het nou blauw is of turkooise, maar ik denk toch dat het meer turkooise lijkt. Erg mooi en helder lakje.
Dit is zo'n kleur waar ik vrolijk van word, ookal is het eigenlijk niet zo bijzonder.

Application
Great, smooth and opaque in two coats.

Applicatie
Perfect, mooi glad en dekkend in twee laagjes.

I hope we have many more days as bright and happy as this polish!
