***100 FOLLOWERS GIVE AWAY*** Yeah baby, it's give away time

Begin dit jaar dronken mijn zusje en ik wat wijntjes en keken naar nagellakken op blogs en toen bedachten we dat we samen genoeg nagellak hadden om een eigen blog te beginnen. Mijn zusje is een drukke studente met een druk studentenleven dus ze heeft geen tijd op posts te plaatsen, maar staat wel braaf haar nagellakken aan mij af zodat ik ze kan gebruiken om te swatchen en op de blog te plaatsen. Dus alsnog een samenwerking van twee zusjes aan één blog die nu maarliefst 100 volgers heeft...dat vieren we met een give away!!!

At the beginning of this year my little sister and I were drinking some wine and were checking polishblogs when we thought we had enough polishes to start our own blog. My sister is a busy student with the busy studentlife so she has no time to do posts, but she always is willing to let me use her polishes for swatching purposes. So it still is a blog from two sisters; one donates polish and one posts it on the blog... and that will be celebrated with a give-away!!!

!!! 100 FOLLOWERS !!! And my glitter-franken: Akasha

Toen mijn zus en ik begin dit jaar onder het genot van een lekkere wijn bedachten dat het leuk zou zijn om onze nagellakken te laten zien op een blog hadden we nooi verwacht dat we ooit 100 volgers zouden halen...maar sinds zondag hebben we 100 volgers :-)
Ik wil jullie allemaal bedanken dat jullie ons volgen en lezen.

When my sister and I at the beginning of this year while drinking wine thought of showing our polishes on a blog, we never expected to reach 100 followers. But since last sunday we have 100 followers :-)
I would like to thank you all for reading and following us.
Het lijkt me leuk om jullie de eerste van mijn glitter frankens te laten zien.
Omdat ik al mijn huisdieren altijd namen geef van demonen, vampieren, slechteriken of (gevallen) engelen dacht ik dat ik deze trend ook maar moest doorzetten in mijn eigen nagellak. Dus deze heeft de toepasselijke naam Akasha (voor uitleg zie hier )

I think it's fun to show you the fist of my glitter frankens.
Because I always give my pets names that come from demons, vampires, villians or (fallen) angels I thought that I would continue this in naming my frankens. This one has the appropriate name Akasha ( see here for explanation )
Ik heb turkooise en gouden holografische glitters in een transparante lak gedaan.
De applicatie was echt verschrikkelijk hahaha, ik smeerde de glitters er steeds vanaf en ik moest tussendoor steeds het potje goed schudden want de glitters zaktes steeds naar de bodem, maar het was wel mooi glimmend op mn nagel.

I put teal and golden holographic glitter in a transparent base. The application was the worst Hahaha, the glitters wouldn't stick and I had to shake the bottle constantly for the glitters sunk to the bottom of the bottle, but the endresult was pretty nice and shiney.
Het is niet de mooiste franken, maar voor een eerste poging is het niet slecht toch?
Ik blijf het gewoon proberen totdat ik de perfecte glitterlak heb gemaakt. Dus jullie zullen vast nog wel een boel pogingen te zien krijgen.

It's certainly not the best franken, but I think it's a decent first try. I just keep trying untill I've made the perfect glitter polish. Until then I keep showing you my trials.

Glamorous French with Hema nr 81

Normaal gebruik ik geen nailart, het duurt me vaak te lang, maar ik was een beetje aan het spelen op een luie zondagochtend en dit is het geworden. Dit was echt een leuke mani om te doen en ook nog erg makkelijk. Dus ik denk dat ik in de toekomst wel vaker zoiets ga proberen.

Usually I don't use nailart, I often think it's too much work, but I was playing around on a lazy sunday morning and this is the result. I really was a fun and easy mani to do, so I think I'll be trying something similar real soon!

Kleur
Hema nr. 81 is een aqua blauwe kleur en heel erg glanzend
Voor de french tip gebruikte ik China Glaze Kaleidoscope Him Out, een licht blauwe holo.

Colour
Hema nr. 81 is a aqua blue colour and it's really glossy.
For the french tip I used China Glaze Kaleidoscope Him Out, a light blue holo.
Applicatie
Ook deze Hema lak had een heerlijke applicatie, de lak was dekkend met 2 lagen, maar ik gebruikte er 3 voor de macro-shot. Als je de lak opdoet zie je hoe deze meteen glad en streeploos over de nagel verspreidt.

Application
This polish had a wonderful application, it was opaque with two coats, but I used three for the macro-shot. When you apply the polish it immediately evens out in a smooth, streekless and glossy layer.Nadat ik de nagels gelakt had met de Hema lak heb ik er met de hand een french tip op gelakt. Ik dacht dat het lastiger zou zijn, maar dat ging vrij makkelijk en natuurlijk valt het met deze holo ook niet zo op als het niet zo netjes is. Daarna heb ik wat licht blauwe steentjes in de natte lak gedrukt en afgelakt met een topcoat.

After I polished my nails with the Hema polish I handpainted the french tips. I thought that would be more difficult but it was really easy, ofcourse the holo was very forgiving for small flaws. After that I pressed some light blue rhinestones in the wet polish and applied a topcoat.En nog een foto van de lak zonder versieringen, ook héél mooi

Cute Konad with Hema nr. 210

Ik heb wat gespeeld met mn ieniemienie Konad-setje ( bestaat uit een stampertje, schraper, 2 mini Konad-lakjes en plaat M3 ) en ik heb het idee dat het wat beter gaat.
Als basis heb ik Hema One Coat nr. 210 gebruikt en ik heb gestampt met China Glaze Emotion

I played around with my teenytiny Konad set ( scraper, stamper, 2 mini Konad polishes, plate M3) and I think it's getting a little bit better.
For the base I used Hema One Coat nr. 210 and I stamped with China Glaze Emotion. (Shown with the beautiful flowers my BF gave me)

Kleur
Hema: Roodachtig roze, donker roze, ik heb geen idee hoe je deze kleur omschrijft hahaha, ik heb even op wikipedia kleuren roze opgezocht en ik geloof dat 'cerise' het dichtst in de buurt komt.

Colour
Reddish pink, dark pink, I don't know what to call this color hahaha, I wikipedia-ed the colours pink and I believe cerise is the closest I could find. Applicatie
Perfect, vrijwel dekkend in één dikke laag, maar ik draag twee dunne lagen. Geen strepen, prachtig glad en glanzend resultaat.

Application
Perfect, almost opaque in one thick coat, but I used two thinner coats. No streaks, beautiful smooth and shiney result.

Na een paar keer spelen met mijn ieniemienie Konad setje ben ik plaat M3 nu al zat, de afbeeldingen zijn zo...saai. Ik ben toe aan een echte plaat, dus ik ga binnenkort maar eens kijken wat Konad allemaal te bieden heeft. Ook heb ik van Susie de tip gekregen om de plates van Bundle Monster te bestellen, meet plates voor minder geld. Keuzes keuzes, ik ga nog even bedenken wat ik allemaal wil.

After playing with my teenytiny Konad set I'm already bored with plate M3, the images are so...boring. I'm ready for a real plate so I'm going to check out what Konad has to offer. Susie gave me a tip on the Bundle Monster plates, more plates for less money. Choises choises, going to think about what to buy.

Thirty-five years ago I bought a dilapidated house in North Kensington, London. One of the reasons I bought it was that it sported a magnificent graffito. In those days, graffiti were usually texts, some of them, it was said, written by the poet This one spelt out, in foot-high block capitals, the undeniable truth that "Boredom is counter-revolutionary". When the house was done up, the graffito disappeared. Over the years, the neighbourhood lost all its graffiti one by one, as the pestiferous warren of flats and bedsits was regentrified. The wall that had the one word "Scream" written its full length was repainted, and the grim prediction "This too will burn" was removed from a pillar under the Westway.

Lovely Lilac - Hema Nr. 83 and Hema Matte topcoat

Afgelopen weekend bedacht ik me dat ik, als Nederlandse blogger, eigenlijk veel te weinig Nederlandse nagellakken aan jullie laat zien.
Dus daar ga ik bij deze verandering in brengen en heb een mooie Hema lak aan jullie te laten zien.

Last weekend I thought that I, as a Dutch blogger, am showing you way too little Dutch polishes. So hereby I'm going to change that and I have a lovely polish from Hema to show you.

Op deze foto zie je Hema Nr. 83 met Hema matte topcoat en een leuke sticker.
Toen ik deze lak vorige week kocht zei de cassière dat ze deze lak die dag net nieuw hadden. Ik heb ook een hele mooie blauwe gekocht, die laat ik ook snel zien.

On this picture you see Hema Nr. 83 met Hema matte topcoat and a nice decal.
When I bought this polish last week the cassier told me this polish was just in store that day. I also bought a beautiful blue polish, I'm showing you that one soon.
Hema is a Dutch warehouse which sells only products of their own brand. They sell everything from condoms to curtains and are known for their low prices and good quality. Hema has a large variety of polishes in their basic collection and sometimes have some seasonal collections. This season they have some fun little bottles of neons and a small collection of pastels ( this polish is from that last collection ).
Hier zie je de lak met matte topcoat zonder decals, zie je hoe mooi glad het resultaat is? Ik ben niet de grootste fan van matte lak, maar dit ziet er heerlijk zacht en knuffelbaar uit ( ja, ik noemde mijn nagels knuffelbaar )

Here you have the mattified purple polish without decals, I'm not the biggest fan of matte polish but look how smooth, soft and huggable this looks ( yes, I said huggable about my nails )
Applicatie Matte topcoat was geweldig, de lak was heel vloeibaar, als water, het droogde heel snel en werd heel mooi matte.

The appliaction of the matte topcoat was amazing, it was very liquid, like water, it dries super fast and became perfectly matte.
En hier ze je de lak zoals ze is zonder topcoat en versieringen.
Een prachtige kleur lila met hoogglans.
Applicatie was super, de lak was vrij dun maar met twee lagen had ik een glad en streeploos resultaat. Mocht je denken dat je strepen ziet op de foto, dat zijn de lijnen in mijn nagel.

And here we have the polish without topcoat or decoration.
It's a beautiful lilac colour with high shine.
Application was amazing, the polish was rather thin but with two coats I had a smooth and streekless result. If you think you see streeks on the picture, those are the ridges in my nail.
